Our local Dollar General store is running a sale, $0.55 per lb for frozen whole young turkeys, and $1 per lb for frozen cooked/basted whole turkey breast. That is a really good price for around here, but they limit one each per purchase....so hubby and I are coordinating to hit em up, and each of us pick up one of each, today, tomorrow, the next day...till they stop us, lol. I would be happy with about 15 of each in my deep freezer out in the shed. Later in the year I would like to make up some mega batches of soup/stews and can them. We have a turkey smoker thingy (inherited from a friend), which we have never used, how hard can it be to figure out?

Just got done sighting in my first air rifle I've had since I was a kid. Let me tell you they have seriously got some nice ones now. I went with the Gamo Silent Cat. If you haven't checked them out lately I recommend giving them a look because these guns ain't no Red Ryder...able to shoot standard pellets at under the sound barrier or shoot at 1250fps with the pba pellets. Also grabbed a few more boxes of .40 critical duty.
