Canned 8 jars of salsa, and 2 jars of pickled jalapeños with carrots from my garden. Got lots more jars to make more cranberry sauce. We've finished the last of the tomatoes that we ripened from the garden after the cold started.

We've been sharing salsa with the neighbors, we've instituted a free refill program if you return your jar, and ring. Since the jar costs more than the contents, it works out well for me and my tasting panelists.
Common sense is so rare these days, it should be re-classified as a super power.

    1) just reloaded 100 9mm, running low on powder... Got maybe 1/4 pound left, will hold in reserve. Sigh.

    2) I am starting my research into canning.

I am thinking I can get frozen veggies and can them, which is part of my research. Maybe make some soups etc and can them. Id love to make some veg soup with cooked hamburger, but I have no idea what needs to be done... I think with the meat content, it will need pressure cooking. Ive got a LOT to learn!

I think for the money Im going to get an entry level Presto and a couple of jars and go from there.

We put up 6 jars of cranberry sauce and 5 jars of Carmel sauce. Good stuff. Picked up a coup pounds of power pistol powder and another TO at the gun show. Making progress on the grape arbor.

Got a 1000 rounds of Hornady once fired 308 brass of all the same weight. This will be my distance ammo. I also have 500 rounds of the same brass but different weight which will be my hunting ammo. It took forever to go through all the brass to find this much.

Been prepping 260 Remington for my nephew. Got him over and started him on reloading. My son is home for Christmas so he was helping too. It is great having help with all the tedious work. Will start sizing the brass tonight.

Been searching for about a year now, found the dog Ive been looking for in the exact age range.
Yesterday we officially adopted and brought home Sable, a 9 month female German Shepherd. She weighs in about 60 pounds right now, but shes going to be gaining weight quick, and shes extremely eager to be part of a "pack" here at the house. Training starts the day after Xmas. Pics coming soon!

Its fine to be proud of it,
But please dont whip it out in public and start waving it around,
And PLEASE dont try to force it down my children's throats.

Realist, sounds like a nice score! I like 308 myself.. Glad you were able to find civilian brass, with 308 theres a lot of (as you already know, but others might not..) milsurp brass, which requires some extra tools and time to prep the primer pocket. When I reload, I just want to reload without a lot of extra drama.

SF, cool beans bro! GSD is IMHO the ultimate breed! And since you now have a GSD, Ive got information for you buddy!

On a good note, they have identified that a German Shepperd only sheds once a year!

On a down side, it last 365 days.

    1) Just paid off my Daughter's Sig P250 full size 45 (cause they dont make a 46) (I love grabagun!!!)
    2) Got 1K CCI large pistol primers today (Id like to have small too, but they were wiped out)
    3) Got 250 230gn FMJ bullets .451 today

Ive got about 300 rnds of 45 brass sized, belled and primed... ready to load. Too scared to use the little bit of powder I have left.

After paying for daughter's remaining balance on her 45 layaway, I didnt have enough to buy anything else, maybe later...

So, I have limited experience with Shep's, what are their pro's and cons?
