Today I picked up a used ATV. It's a 2WD Honda 250, rebuilt engine, new tires, 5 speed trans. He wanted $1000, paid $850.

Picked up a Sig .22 Mosquito for the little one to start out on. She's ok on the 10/22 so it's time to move in closer.
Be ready now, you won't have that chance later.

Finished AR pistol today. Got the red dot installed and the sling loop put on, and I'm ready for sighting in.
Common sense is so rare these days, it should be re-classified as a super power.

I attended a three day instructor update firearms course this week. It was one of those attend and also teach classes. Got a bunch of new drills both on the flat range and out of a vehicle.

One of the highlights was a six hour talk by Doc Roberts. For those who have not heard of him. Gary Roberts is a dentist or as someone on a blog said "he is just a dentist what does he know?"

Well when you look at his Stanford profile is doesn't look like much. However his background goes back to the time when Marty Fackler ran the Wound Ballistics Association. When he finished his residency he trained under Fackler and did wound ballistics for several years. He is an incredible speaker and to say the least tells it like it is and is not politically correct. Attached are a couple of documents if you are interested. In the six hours I took 20 pages of notes.

So if it is predictable and preventable then you better prepare.

    1. Added more water in storage
    2. Added about snot her weeks worth of canned goods
    3. Rotated some canned goods, using up older stored food
    4. Put away some more dried beans from the garden

Just baby steps, but given ghetto amount of civil unrest that is taking place and a national election in just over a month, and earthquake warnings it is time to take bigger steps.

For the last year trying to re gain my health, get all my dental work completed and generally trying to prepare to retire in a few years. Other than that not much.

Made more salsa, and resealed a few of my windows, and threw a coat of paint on some other ones (frames, not panes)
