Got the garage cleaned up for the wife's car, some misc. stuff put away from in front of the garage to make snow removal a little easier. Got the lawn tractor serviced and ready to go away... In general just battening down the hatches for the next 5 month deep freeze!

Got the garden ready for my winter starts. We are going to be planting asparagus this year and I want the garden ready. We also processed 100 pomegranates a while back and have a gallon of juice we are going to make a bunch of jelly this weekend.

My wife made beauty berry jelly the other day and it came out pretty good. We have thousands of beauty berry plants on our property. I am working over for 6 days of overtime so that I can pay cash for a wood burning stove.

When I juice berries I use a food mill, it separates the pulp out and leaves the rest for jam and jelly goodness.

Mine haven't made yet. They're pretty plants, but no fruit. The nursery lady said probably next year.

I've got lots of tomatoes starting to ripen in the crates wrapped in newspaper. I think I counted 15 ripe today. Only about 300 to go. Second batch of green salsa this weekend since we're looking at rain rain and rain.
