JUST FINISHED, in time for the sunset so no pix till tomorrow... 2" budget lift on the Grand Cherokee!

Wow, it looks a LOT better, 2" is more than you THINK it is... gotta hike the hip up a bit climbing in now, and sitting in the driver's seat, theres a different view & feel to it too... didnt get to road test it yet, had a beer and wont drive with ANY alcohol in my system, no exceptions. Hey, I earned a beer after sweating and swearing like I did for the last 2 daze!!

I got the K5 on ebay last night, scheduled the auction to start this morning. Hope it sells!! I could use the dough!!

it's been a while since I've been on, this was actually memorial day weekend I did a day trip just to test setting up my tent, stove, and a few other things outside.

I fielded the tent again when I was out of state and it's not bad to sleep in for the size. Plenty of room for gear.

The stove works very wel, it's the msr dragonfly. Eventually I'll get one of the aftermarket parts that quiet it down and also try other fuels.

My pack is set up for some long term sustainment and I did a short hike just to get a feel for the fit and to make adjustments on it before I take it on a longer trip.

I've stuck the filter in some rough stuff, lakes, streams, reservoirs and even a swamp and this thing always performs. I clean it out with some bleach water and let it dry out after use.
sorry about the goofy link in there I tried adding a pic of the filter and it didnt post up, my phone isn't cooperative in deleting it without deleting my other photos.

I like the tent, and the ruck looks good too!

I see you have an MSR SSTL pot, the same that we have... its a bit of weight but a damn nice pot!!

I have the MSR International, its one HELL of a stove, boils water in a flash so you really dont use that much fuel when its all said and done!

Tell us more about your pack, tent and filter please.

I have the MSR filter that attaches directly to the Nalgen bottle top, I have used it with outstanding results!

Thanks for the share, you make me want to get in the field!!

I'm interested in a spare filter. I like the Nalgene bottles. The camelbak ones are pricey and parts get dirty and wear out.
The filter is a Katadyn with the pump at the top, just pump it up and down. Not the hand squeeze one. I forgot the exact model.
he pack is an Eberlestock G4 Operator. TONS of organization and very well thought out. I could write a novel on its features. All straps have velcro to roll them up, the tops of the pockets have a weather resistant top it seems. Grey interior so it's easy to see inside. Horizontal molle inside these 2 vertices flaps to hold mag pouches and use the bag as a rifle rest. Water bladder hangers on each side inside, it's own bivy with a pouch to store it. A rifle scabbard in which it has a beavertail that folds down at your tailbone and with a 16 inch carbine it is barely visible up top. Plenty comfortable with a bulky rifle. Also has a cover to protect it. The front opens on that pack as well as it being a top loader. The lid has 2 pockets as well and a partition in the bottom to close off and open up below or to have more room in if not closed off. The padding is mesh and a plastic dishwashing scrub pad like material so it breathes nice and is very comfortable.
The tent is a mountain hardwear 4 season. Spendy, got it on skdtac.Com 19 percent off on Sunday actually, 4th of July sale. Started 16 percent off Thursday. Lined with a very material so you don't get condensation. No rain fly and free standing 3 pole design. 4.5 pounds and it fits 1 person and gear. 2 doors on it and only 1 has a screen. A prop open vent on each ens of the tent, stakes included and guy lines. It was hard to drop over 4 bills on a tent but is so worth it. Sets up fast and easy.

Canned 13 8oz, 1-16oz cranberry sauces, and 1/2 dozen 12oz salsas. Also opened one of my jars of pickles. Not as crunchy as I like, but REALLY tasty.
Common sense is so rare these days, it should be re-classified as a super power.

RElisted the WarWagon on ebay, no bids at all first time, so I lowered the starting bid but set the reserve at the price I had for starting bid last time ($1500), and dropped the Buy It Now...

I have 3 bids on it now, its up to $510... 2 days left (3 day auction). Wish me luck, I need to pay a few debts & bills and really would like to get a little ammo and a few mags for the AR, maybe have a couple of bucks in a sock...

oif. nice set up. but personally, I would rather have my pack on the inside... for obvious reasons. reasons for an external? aside from space, I hope...
