    Old gas usage

Ok so time has gone by and you have some old gas that you will not run in any of your equipment. What do you do with it, aside from pouring it out or using it to start fire? Has anyone used it in something like a Colman stove or lantern?

I just received my Mr.Funnel... AFAIK, if its not tooo tooo old, just getting the junk and water out of the gas should "rejuvenate" it, I am getting ready to experiment with it soon.

Keep an eye on this thread for any follow ups.

Same here. I have never had gas not run in anything. 5 years seemed ok. If you don't have a lot, how about mixing it 4 or 5 to 1, good to bad and treat it. I bet it'll still run.

Moisture can still accumulate in gas from condensation, due to the heat cold cycle and what moisture is already in the air, even worse for cans left in the sun... (think: solar still)

I just tried my Mr.Funnel on a large mason jar size amount of gas, and sure enough... water was left behind in the filter, which could explain why my mower was not running right.

I hope to be doing a video of the filter soon enough...

I also could see junk floating around in the gas can.

The Mr.Funnel should solve all my gas problems (as long as I get ethanol free gas...) from here out, is what I anticipate.

Ethanol free gas is very hard to find. Would something like octane boot work?

How long will the mr. funnel last do you know? They look interesting.

Realist, i found a App for my phone. Plug in your zip code and it shows all the stations in the area. It's called Pure Gas.

Funnel should last a long time, its VERY heavy duty!

Oct boost wont wash the ethanol out.

Good deal there. It costs 30 t60 cents a gallon more than ethanol here. At 3 or even 15 cents a gallon i would run it in everything. Runs much better and helps milsge some.

Look near (but not at) Marinas. Most of the new 4-stroke outboard motors specify NOT to use ethanol. Typically around here, Shell Gold and Costco are the only 2 that do not have ethanol.
