Looking for the title of a movie

Looking from some information on a movie. I sat down to watch "The Omega Man" today, and it's not the movie I thought it was. The movie I am looking for I thought was the omega man, and I thought Charlton Heston was the lead roll, is set in a post apocalyptic city where he thought he was the only one left. I remember him having manicans in the apartment and talking to them. I remember one was named "Snodgrass", and during an argument, he or another one was thrown out of the window. I remember he has his place set up with all kinds of booby traps. I know this sounds a lot like "The Omega Man", but after just watching it, I'm sure it isn't. So please help out...sorry, I thought I was making a new post...this can be deleted.

Everything from my memory tells me it's "Omega Man", but I don't remember the cult of people after him as in Omega man. I don't remember any kids in it, and I remember the love interest being a blond younger white girl, not the black woman's as in Omega man. The first thing I did when I was trying to remember was do as you are suggesting EB, and I couldn't find it, and that's why I wrote in. My memory must be starting to change from the Altzhimers,,as I would swear it is a different movie, but it must be Omega Man.

There have been three versions of the "I am Legend" story, with Vincent Price, Charleton Heston, and Will Smith in the title roles.

The Charleton Heston version (Omega Man) was in 1971, in Los Angeles....

Vincent Price did the Last Man on Earth in 1964 set in Los Angeles, although it was filmed in Italy.

Will Smith did I am Legend in 2007, set in NYC.

    IMDB has all the info....

I was thinking that it sounded like one of the "I am Legend" flicks as well.

After I sat and watched "The Omega Man", and it wasn't as I remembered, the first thing I did was look up movies with a manican named Snodgrass, as that name stuck with me as a young lad. The Belafonte movie came up, but to my recollection, (and now we all know how that is), I have never seen that movie, but will but it on the list to watch. I think I am loosing my mind, as my recollection on remembers what it wants to!!!
