    Hello from Texas

    Just wanted to say hello. I've been lurking here for a while and decided to join up so I could share some info and participate in the discussions. I'm located NE of Houston and have been prepping for a couple years. I read or listen to every book I can get my hands on. I wanted to share a series of books with the group that most represent the way I feel about what's to come. It's a 10 book series called "299 days" by Glen Tate. Give it a read or a listen....you won't regret it. Thanks for all the great info. Sorry if this book has been mentioned already, I didn't see it in the book reviews.

    It is, of course, obvious that speed, or height of fall, is not in itself injurious ... but a high rate of change of velocity, such as occurs after a 10 story fall onto concrete, is another matter.
