    Mora Knives

I picked up this bundle of knives last year

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=sr_1_1&sr=8-1

I got them on sale for $30 and figured I couldn't go too wrong because they had good reviews.

Took the heaviest one underway with me on the boat and it rusted the first day I got some salt spray on me. I was super angry until I remembered the comments about that happening. So I did some parkerizing while underway by putting some vinegar in my nalgene and letting the knife sit in it for a few days.

It came out slate grey, needed an edge put back on it and oil. Since then I have had ZERO complaints! I have beat the snot out of the heavy knife and used the other two around the house and office. I ended up giving the smaller one to a coworker because their blade snapped while unpacking crates. He let his rust so I showed him the vinegar trick and now he loves it too.

Their handles are budget but their steel is fantastic! I would recommend these to anybody that is looking for a good working knife.

First live review I've seen on these. I looked at one in a store and it just felt too light to me. Having researched them more, the metal is probably among the best out there. Can't beat the price either. I most likely will be picking up one or more of these. They have more models than I realized.
    Thanks for the review

Pictures, of course. It's all about ocular gratification these days. lol. I am truly amazed with these. I wish the parkerizing had turned out better but what else can you hope for in the middle of the Caribbean?

Morakniv Craft Robust Carbon Steel Fixed Blade Knife: Blade Thickness: 0.125" is the one that I have abused the hell out of. It's thicker than the other two in the group, heavier but by far my favorite. The lightest one is missing as it is still with my coworker.

    nicely done!

I didn't mean to offend, I am interested in Parkerizing a couple things and want to see the end result. My next question was about your process, but now I'm scared...

    lol

Apple cider vinegar in a nalgene bottle, rocked back and forth by 4 foot waves and 6 foot swells, for 3 days. Take it out, scrub lightly with a towel and immediately drench in 50w oil.
