OK, I have totally lost it........

Somehow I have managed to come up the Idea that I could pack all this shit in one little box and make it do all the things I "think" it could do. One Idea came after the other, "I" wanted simple, "me" wanted a more capabilities, "myself", well there's Murphy so we contingencies. Talk about an argument.

    So what can it do?

    1. 115vac power supply, supplies constant 13.8vdc power to the Rigrunner Powergate
    2. Rigrunner Powergate will charge battery, also shifts power automatically between power supplies (battery/13.8vdc external) in case of power loss, provides power to the load.
    3. 450watt inverter supplies 115vac for charging
    4. Solar controller for solar charging capabilities.
    5. Rigrunner power strip for any extra things i want to plug in.
    6. Battery booster, for boosting transmission (only) when needed, found this to be pretty handy. Probably not necessary but who knows.
    7. Battery booster remote, so I can control it from the top panel, plus I like the visual analog it gives me on the battery.
    8. Fart fan, keep the lower extremities cool.
    9. USB charging port, I don't have anything to plug into it but I'm sure the wife or someone else will need to charge their fucking toys.
    10. There wasn't enough room for a battery in there so don't ask, it's plug and play.
    11. Pouch in the lid is secured with industrial strength (GOOD SHIT NEED MORE) velcro, carries jumper cables for assorted power sources, battery, solar, etc. Also radio manual, maps or whatever.

OK the following are the pics of the box lid with the pouch. The second one the lid is on and closed sitting next to a battery that i have been using as a power source for testing. So far everything is working, nothing smokes...........All comms have been "LC" so far. I need to test solar and then it's time to go mobile.

Note: I never even touched the outside of the box, the damn thing still has bird shit on it.

    What EB said.

What's the rig this package is running?

What's the physical specs on that box? and how much does the whole pkg weigh in at?

Moreover, is the box conductive to where, with an attachment to a ground, it could be used as a Faraday shielding of the components within? (Maybe a 4 gauge jumper cable between the grounding point and one of the handles...)

I ask, as I FINALLY tested and passed Tech today... and I am looking at what needs be done t' get my measly Kenwood TM-241 in a manpackable configuration. Not necessarily operating while manpacked, ala the old Army PRC-25s or -77s, although that would be nice.

de Kesephist, Tech class, c/s pending.

Congrats on your ticket! The radio is a TYT TH-9800 quad band, cross band repeater....... lots of capabilities. Please look it up. I'll answer your questions soon, I have a hickory tree to finish splitting and stacking.....smoking wood....more to follow. Thank you everyone for all the compliments. There is a story behind all this. My brain still hurts and there is a few more things to finish. MY adult ADD's kickin in, have to go and screw up this other project before Mr. Murphy finds out I'm making progress on something again. Out!
