    Maybe some pics...[IMG][/IMG]

Where the kitchen used to be

    Ceiling over current shower

    [IMG][/IMG]

    Water damage over current bed

I took the stove/oven/vent out to try to sell. Now I've got a big mess!

[IMG][/IMG]Still more demo today. I disconnected the water and drain lines from the bathroom. I took all the screws out holding the one piece fiberglass bathroom loose from the walls. I then took out the wall that was next to the kitchen. I took out the mattress and started demo on the bed frame that was attached to the wall next to the bathroom, then took out most of the wall. The insulation in the ceiling is so heavy and wet, I thought the ceiling might come down, so I left the rear support in. More tomorrow.[IMG][/IMG]

Here's what I'm thinking Domey. A well placed Bangalore torpedo or some well placed C-4 and we can clear that puppy out in an engineer hear beat. no fuss ; no muss. Broom & vaccum and we're done my friend.

Does ya need me to drive down with my bestest dog friend Claymore and help ? I'm sure I can get BWRR to help.

Welllllllllllllllll it looks to me as though you have your work cut out for you. It is a good thing you don't have anything else to do or you might not get the job done for another week... You are a better man than me.

I agree with Fidel on the insulation. If you use foam insulation then it will also give you a little better structure. The one thing you need to be sure of is the wiring. Once the foam in in you would be hard pressed to ever get wiring replaced. Consider conduit for the wiring. Are you replacing any of the studs, if so have you considered metal studs, the are lighter and hold up just as good.

So if it is predictable and preventable then you better prepare.

It looks like 3-4 blocks of C-4 have already been used. I appreciate the help, but I'm afraid your bestest dog friend might get a little jelious..my bestest cat friend Brother has taken a liking to the mattress I threw out...and he does not like to share.

I will probably have to replace every roof bracing stud. I plan to use hardwood studs there, not pine. For the walls, I know I will have to replace some of them. I hadn't thought of metal studs...ill give it a thought as I get into the walls. I've never used the metal studs before, but this might be a good place for them. Thanks for the idea.
Depending on where and how many wires need to be run, some conduit might be a good idea.

you may want to consider spray foam insulation as well... it'll really rigid the shell up, and seal up any leaks that probably aren't there.

I've been slacking on the RV, as I have been doing some undercover prepping at Myrtle Beach, SC. Then I've had to make 2 of the wooden trucks I sell on the side, but now I have to put the nose to the grindstone...I've got three weeks to get it done. I bought 3 more 100Ah batteries, (total of 500Ah) 14 new lights, switches, battery cables, ect. Doing to be doing some serious demo and rebuilding next week. I've decided to keep the bathroom and kitchen where they were, saving time and materials. Getting rid of the couch, and putting the queen bed up front behind the driver seat. Gonna build a bench seat and table where the twin bed was in the rear, that can be made into a bed.

Well, with the help of an Aderall, I got my ass in gear and got medieval on the RV. I tore out all of the paneling, insulation, and the ceiling in the rear half. I am now wishing I had stayed home the day I went to look at it. Oh well, I now know just what I have to work with. All of the ceiling. Joists will need to be replaced, but my main concern is the top plates on all of the wall joists,(if you can call them that) they are mostly completely rotten on both sides. I think I will need to replace the ceiling aluminum plates, as they have more holes than solid area. The people that worked on it before figured you can't go wrong by putting more screws into it...wrong. [IMG][/IMG]

This is what it looks like now...the rear of the passengers side[IMG][/IMG]

The rear of the drivers side...
    [IMG][/IMG]

And the pile of shit I tore out...
    [IMG][/IMG]
At least it can't get much worse...
