    Warm police use gloves?

My son as most of you know is in Korea as a MP. He asked today what a good glove would be. Figured yall would have a good idea, he needs to be able to shoot his pistol with them on. He wants something warm.

    How cold is it there?
Give a man fire, and he'll be warm for a day!
Light a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life!

I think he said it was -7 the other day, and he had to direct traffic.

Something like this would probably do him just fine:

that's all I wear for most of the winter. If it is really cold out I'll slip a heavy pair of mitts on over top:

With a flick of the wrist, the mitt is off and the hand is free. For hunting, I use a pair that has a string between them, like kids would have, that way I don't have to pick it up out of the snow behind me.

I told him about mitts but I don't think he can wear them. I really don't think there is a good option out there that will work with a pistol.

He has Army issued gloves, but he said they are not good enough.

If his issue gloves are large enough he could try a pair of these underneath as liners. They are windproof plus a 2nd layer would help create a warm air pocket. The thermal reflective bit I thought might help. I ordered a set today to wear as liners under a set of fleece gloves when hiking. Drop the heavy gloves and still have something to use while shooting pics, or guns.

Plenty of other companies out there that make windproof gloves. Just a matter of fit.

with my life possibly on the line - it would be a pair of those grippy mechanic's gloves - slip a pair of mittens over them when possible ....
