Don't mean to link dump but its definitely a different perspective of what some might see as a survival/bug out related mode of transport

Yeah I like those MOTOPED bikes. but 2500$ a pop is steep. but they THAT particular MOTOPED has about a 500 mile range with the standard fuel load it can carry as is. That aint bad at all. And they can do the offroad job really well.

I wonder just how quiet those bikes are. Has anyone ever used one. All I remember about mopeds is you didn't want to be seen riding one. These look nice....

In high school, while all the cool jocks were dating the cheerleaders and driving Trans-Am, Monza, Corvettes, I was riding my SUPERCOOL looking bright yellow Bativus moped, with a 49cc engine, and twin orange flags waving in the breeze as I motored through town. I would from time to time, take her down hill ( I lived in Chattanooga, TN at the time) at fill speed, just to get her up to 30 mph. So who was the big loser here...yeah, that's right...we all know who.

Does anyone here have a battery backup powered bicycle. I am interested in one, but the prices are still a bit steep. One of the things on my bucket list is to take a bicycle trip in Spring time...but my wife won't let me. A battery/leg powered bike with one of my trailers on the rear, and I would be good to go...oh yeah, forgot...I can't go.
