Neighbor 1 street over killed a rattlesnake in their garage Sunday night, and another neighbor same street stepped on a 4" or so rattler while walking a dog, so I've been getting my lumber piles up off the ground, and cutting the scrap for kindling to use this weekend when we have the neighbors over for a campfire after trick or treating. Also did a garage sale last weekend and got rid of tons of unwanted crap to make room for additional organization. The snake thing isn't good, my almost 5 y/o son is fearless, and Im not always out back to supervise.
Common sense is so rare these days, it should be re-classified as a super power.

Shipped the oldest son off to boot camp. . .

    Sharpened some knives. . .

Continued planning on something BIG. . . . ( even all you folks here will appreciate it once I reveal my Pinky & the Brain Revelation! )

Setting up the Pantry in the oldest sons room who just left for Boot Camp.

Spent all day walking around the house naked since the kid isnt here anymore, it felt GREAT! Going to try and talk Dragonfly into sneaking into his room tonight and doing a lil horizontal mambo on his bed before I break it down for packing it away.

    Nothing.

Well, I did some work on a video project of mine... something Ive been wanting to do for YEARS! Being able to do multi-cam recording and keep the audio from one track, and sync it to all videos... I hope to have an example soon.

Got a few more N-100 masks, surgical masks, and gloves into today from Amazon for my Obama Ebola box. Ordered some shelf stable boxed milk to try out. Picked up two more aluminum water bottles on sale at Sports Authority for $5. ea. (reg $15.) for BOB.

Havent done it yet, but the weeks not over yet! Taking daughter to shoot at my buddys private range. Were taking a few X39 rounds and the SKS to focus hard on rifle marksmanship.

Trigger squeeze, breathing, sight picture, etc.. Shes already pretty damn good, but no sense letting a perishable skill... perish, and... there is ALWAYS room for improvement, no matter how good you are!

Gonna run the SKS because its an easy top loader and dont have to mess with mags, its a straight and reliable shooter, and its just a halla gun!

Were also going to focus hard on shooting positions: standing, kneeling, sitting, cross leg, squatted and prone.

If I give her her AK she tends to squeeze the trigger pretty fast! HA HA! Oh, and were going to work on fire control (*NOT* shooting as fast as you can, but rather hit with each round... this is where steel targets are INVALUABLE!!)

Well, just got back from the range a few hours ago... cold, windy and damp... but no time was lost nor was the trip wasted.

Daughter and I shot the Sig P320 and SKS with focus on marksmanship, sight picture, etc.. also trying to eliminate residual flintch.

I must be a weirdo, I am almost certian I can shoot my P250 DAO a *lot* better than my P320 striker!!
I *may* be letting the 320 go and put the funds toward another 250 (daughter is turning 18 soon, and wants to open carry). Its not just me either... Daughter also shoots the P250 better! She actually prefers it.

Also, while we were there, we ended up being the only ones left... There was only one other group and they left about 45 min after we got there... Anywho, we did a big brass pickup, added a measurable lump to the brass bucket! The brass bucket is almost half full now! Of course we got our own brass, but we also picked up all other brass too! Scored the following: 270,38,9,380,223 and 45!!

    Glad we got outside!

I love having friends come over to my house to shoot. My only rule is I get to keep all the brass.
