Canned a dozen jars of spiced peach jam. We had a kinda sad peach crop this year, although lightyears better than last year. It's is very tasty.

Had our first picking of Blueberries and Serrano peppers last night. Both were really good. Blueberry harvest is going to be down from last year due to lack of rain, but they are nice and fat and oh so tasty.
How is the blueberry Serrano jam?

Haven't tried that. Sounds interesting though. Gotta give that some thought. Wife loves Blueberries, but can't handle serranos.
The wife and I do something similar with our chickens. She pulls the package out of the freezer and throws it at me, aiming for my head. If she gets the head shot, I wake up, get out the cast iron frying pan and then cook the chicken. But if she misses, she then gets the cast iron frying pan, and she has got a good arm on her, hasn't missed yet.Originally Posted by helomech

We're not setting the world on fire here either. My tomatoes are hurting, blueberries sucked, even okra is growing slowly.

Ive done nothing, zero. 95% of what I want to do involves money to some measure and degree, which I have none of. Had a recent change of funds which I wont disseminate in public but were down several hundred a month and a small slice of that was prep money.
