Online Mapping References, NukeMap, Norse Web Attacks, and Others.

I thought I would put out some online mapping references for folks here, I had mentioned one of them in an earlier post regarding cyber attacks, and thought, why not share a few of my online mapping references I use so others can make use of them as well, sooo... here they are. If others here have online mapping references, could you please post them up as well?

Nuke Map gives you the ability to detect how far the kill/casualty radius is of a nuclear event in case on would happen near you. Also gives you the ability to insert factors such as wind, height of detonation, size of weapon, and multiple other factors. A great learning tool as well as fun to play around with. There are three versions out, Classic, NukeMap2, and NukeMap3d which works with Google Maps. The later versions has more bells and whistles.

    http://nuclearsecrecy.com/nukemap/classic/ (Classic Version)
http://nuclearsecrecy.com/nukemap3d/ (Works with Google Maps, I actually prefer this one)

Norse Web Attack map shows the location, starting and ending, of web based attacks as they are happening in real time.

Provident Home Storage Center Locator Map. I keep this on the off the wall chance that its a Post-SHTF time frame, and I would be at the point where supplies have ran out, or have been lost, and would look at these locations as being a possible re-supply point for food. Some may/may not agree with this mindset, but for practical thinking, it has to be considered.

Thanks Stormy. I use nukemap, but must be an older version. I'll have to check out 3d. I like Google earth.

I'll give the others a shot as well. Norse is used at work by some folks, so I know it's a good site.

Sorry Backpacker, but I had to drop the largest nuke we had on Cleveland, TN. just to be sure I got my ex wife, and unfortunately I think I took you out too...but it had to be done. I hope you understand, but I don't think a 10 megaton would have done the job.

Thanks a lot DG. Hell I wouldn't have done that to you, not even to take my EX out. Thankfully I don't even know where to dump one for her.

You must have dumped a huge one and different conditions. I used existing nuc plants in two of my scenarios. Using prevailing conditions, both missed me with the worst. We are still contaminated, but not in the main line.

I don't know your exact location, so maybe you squeaked by. But for the greater good of mankind, I felt it best to use the largest one the U.S. has, just to be sure and take her out. The world would be a better place for it.

Bacpacker you need to understand it was okay because it was not personal.................you were just collateral damage so that is okay, right? I don't have to worry about the same thing since I would imagine in a real exchange everyone would want to hit the San Francisco area and my luck they would miss and hit me.

So if it is predictable and preventable then you better prepare.

*sigh* and here I thought NukeMap would be used to make calculated decisions regarding travel, fallout readings, and safety corridors during a nuclear event.... But noooooooo..... you guys gotta go play WarGames With The Ex with it...

Just DG. Remember he took me out!

Getting back to being serious, if you have nuc plants or nuc facilities of any type take a while to play around with this. Make lots of changes to the profiles to account for various things. It is pretty eye opening. Travel and corridors show up pretty readily, depending what all is in your area. It's tight at some of ours.

OK, it just me then...but if you can't drop a nuke on an evil ex wife, than what good is a nuclear arsenal?
