Jack Spirco detailed the carbon tax in one of his episodes, a method of collecting tax though environmental fear generated by the g0v. Since g0v has a monopoly on force then they can pass laws to extort industry dollars.

I have been researching and looking at the NWO since the late 80s. IMO the plan was started long ago, as in decades if not centuries ago. The push to bring in the Federal Reserve was a big point along those lines. It was implemented in 1913, but there was a major push for it leading up to the civil war, and another in the early 1800s that Andrew Jackson put down. Control a countries money and you control the country. More recent examples are Libya. I know other things were going on but they were not part of the central banking system that most of the world is part of. They are now. IIRC Syria is in the same boat.
I may have my tin foil on way too tight, but I believe the NWO will eventually be the way things are ran. We aren't far from it now.
Another empire ... but this one has worldwide high speed communications. (No wonder they are anti-space travel. One large enough chunk of junk in the wrong retrograde orbit, and VOILA... Kessler event, and all their satellite based stuff is re-entered toast, and their comms go back to the 1960s.)
