I hadn't considered the matter... I am that grimmest of preppers, the solo. The Mormon cart idea, coupled with modern materials already partly assembled, appealed to me, well-hammered thumbs and all.

I'll have a sketch in the next 24-48 hours.

My design only dropped the drive train, not lost it altogether. When one is gotten and established at their destination, the framework unbolts. No welds. Restore the pedal crank and chain, reattach the handlebars, and voila! beach cruiser.

As to multiple pedaling, side by side would have way too much torque from the least difference in pedaling speeds. In-line would be preferable, I think.
