    Winkler II blades

    So I'm trying to fill in a gap in my blade role. I currently carry a dedicated fighting blade - Emerson Karambit being most common - and a Leatherman of some sort (Wave, MUT, etc.).

    I realized I don't have a big fixed blade for the role of outdoor survival. Been saving up for a Winkler II blades stabby device. Anyone have one? Any experience with one?

    I like a good belt knife but l am a Gerber LMF man. No idea about the Winkler blades.

    if you want a 'bullet proof' blade, look for a Buck Strider 888. it was a collaboration between Buck and Mick Strider. i have had mine for several years.

    Those Winklers look great. I love the camp ax. But they are way too rich for my blood.

    I have gotten into Becker blades. They have a wide line. The two I have (BK2&BK7) are pretty much indestructible. Can't beat them for the price.

    I can't find it on the website, but I'll try to remember to get the details tomorrow... for a 'big' fixed blade, I love my Schrade. It has ripped through a moose' or bear's ribcage like nothing I have ever owned before. Seriously.... a SERIOUS knife!!
