you should always only try "one." lol That way, even if you do eat 10 or 20, you can honestly say "well, I tried it once." You don't have to tell people you kept doing it after that. And I plead the 5th as to where I used that one myself.

Well I can honestly say where I used that line: Was getting ready to go out into the field and a bunch of us decided to go to the club for ONE beer. Well, we figured out that if ya don't drink the whole beer and fill it back up it is still considered ONE beer.....0300 we were at Aweful House eating, and by 0400 had made it back home, finished packing and made it to formation. Don't even want to discuss the bus trip out or the stop they made at McDonalds................was a very bad.....several days.

lol. I've had a few nights like that. Particularly while doing Unit Police in Korea. Twelve on, 24 off made for some good times.

My buddy and I did something similar on his wedding night. Amazingly, I'm still friends with his (now ex) wife. Looking back it now seems a bit odd, but didn't at the time. They pretty much eloped to spite her family, and carried on "business as usual" later that day. That meant she had a class to go to, and he had time to sit on his ass, so she "ok'ed" his going out for "one drink".

We had one drink at this bar, one drink at that bar, and one drink a bit further down the road.

Needless to say, she was pissed.
