Hey! you never know... I`m sure that some ants wear penguin tuxes to work every day, if that is what you are wearing when you get home to bug out, that is what ou will be wearing when the `time-life`photog comes around, assuming that they get there before you change.

kudo`s to the prepped family for their preps, but I sincerely hope they have more practical clothes (esp footwear) stowed away!

For me, wearing a tie means I'm either interviewing for a job or serving as a Pall bearer. Not much else rates a tie.

Without question, that dress attire was for the photo op. It's weird that the prepping concept comes and goes like its just another fad.

You are right it comes and goes. However for some it is a life style that never goes out. Then again a lot of time they just change the name and it is a new fad.

In the 50's a shirt and tie for men and dress and heals for women is like jeans and t-shirts for us, its prob not far fetched that the attire in the photo was everyday wear for alot of people. Fashion goes hand in hand with morals in my opinion, and both have gone down hill.

For your rifle to truly be camo in that pic it needs to be black- you know black tie/black rifle event.
