Here is a pic of there little temporary pond. They sure are loving it, once they get a little bigger they can go to our big pond (a little over a acre and 14 feet deep). We have 4 khaki Campbells, 4 Toulouse geese 8 white ducks (peking mabye), and 5 burboun red turkeys, to go along with our (large) flock of chickens. I think right now we have about 35 laying hens, 2 grown roosters, and about 60 young chickens of different ages.

probably not as much fun, and certainly not as challenging, but DEFINATELY a lot easier procuring meat for you than hunting.

Looking good Helo

My favorites are Rouen and Muscovy ducks. Mandarins are really nice but they are a small duck and pretty pricey at $55/pair when you can find them. Runners are also pretty cool fowl. An ex-wife and I raised them for several years. Duck eggs are also very tasty, with a different flavor than hen fruit.

If anything ever happens I don't want to rely on hunting. The game are going to be extinct with all the people on the planet trying to eat them.

Going to be a while before we get any eggs from them.

A pic of some of our birds. I think the geese and ducks are a month old.
