I needed a break from my daily IT duties at work and thought I would dump my EDC contents on the floor of my office, and grab a few pics to share with you guys. Everyones needs and preferences are different... This is a system that works for me and my environment, and has proven itself effective for over three years now. Suggestions and comments are always welcome:
First up is what I call PEDC, or Personal Every Day Carry. These are the things that on my person anytime I'm dressed and out of the house. (Not pictured is my Springfield 1911 which is almost always on my hip)

Blackberry Bold dressed in an Otterbox
CRKT M16-04Z
Paracord Braclet
G-Shock Atomic Solar
Edge Neck Knife
Photon LED Flashlight and Gerber Shard on key ring
wallet
The chart underneath the wallet is usually in the wallet itself, but I felt it worth mentioning that its a US Silver coin conversion chart that I printed and laminated. If you can estimate the current cost of silver, It will put you in the ballpark of the melt value for various US coins.

Next is my Bag. It goes everywhere with me. It's a cheap Chinese knockoff of the Maxpedition Fatboy. It's held together pretty well over the years and has only needed some minor stitching repairs on the lining.

This angle shows a small compass, an LED light, and the side pockets that house my first aid kit (Brown pouch), various pens, sharpeners, knives... as well as a ziplock with some TP

Pretty darn good to have on your person every day. Those are items we have in our BOB that stays in our vehicle. Great job!

I... Am impressed. You've made excellent utilization of that bag without overpacking it.

When you say lining, do you mean the storm collar for the main compartment? My versipack is splitting in the corners there.

I had one of those little Wedge knives. I lost it out fishing one night. Very nice little knives.

That silver conversion chart is an awesome idea. I must have one now.

Same for the Otterbox. I should have considered something like that before.

Thanks for the review. I got some good ideas from it.

By the way your EDC looks you must be an engineer. Am I right? I'll bet so because of the redundancy in your preps. (wink)
And thats not a bad thing!

Mine is very similar to yours, except my full size is in the bag, and the pocket pistol is in my pocket unless carrying my kahr.

I also like what you've done. Not a big bag but you have some good gear choices.

I noticed you said lunch.....that was the only things I would have added. A couple granola bars, maybe a bottled water. I'm sure you probably already have those handy though.

Thanks for all of the kind words and support.

As for that "stitching issue" I hesitate to even post this pic, because it shows my severe lack of talent with needle and thread. It's ugly, but it won't rip again. I use waxed thread for any and all repairs that require stitching.

The conversion chart I lifted from Lynn Coins website. If you pull one down from them, make sure you get the updated chart that considers the higher silver prices we've seen recently. Notice that it also contains the formula used for conversions.

Lynn Coins website is Free - SILVER Coins Value Price Guide - Find what your silver coin is worth? - LynnCoins.com (http://lynncoins.com/free-silver-guide.htm)
No I'm not affiliated in anyway to them... I just hijack their charts.

The SS water bottle was on my desk during the photo op, and I didn't think to include it or my backup snack foods. Basically two Nature Valley SweetnSalty Almond bars, and some wasabi flavored almonds.

Thanks again!
