Mine is better on Saturday, if you like girls in bikinis... And I do. But... The rest of the week the urban sprawl just angers me. Nice back yard.

This is the view of my backyard. I didn't feel right posting the view from the backyard because you could probably see the neighbors sitting in their living room. The houses are that close. http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d70/msomnipotent/mine041.jpg

You don't want to see what I see from my window. It is depressing. Plus there is right now someone that is playing boom-boom music and I can't find the sucker, which is good because I am ready to kill him right now.

I just dream of your place Echo2. No neighbors and a 200-yard shooting range.

Did I mention that I hate neighbors already?

Sniper and Slowz is wearin me out with the fire pits. I show it to my wife and now she's wanting me to do one for us. ARG more work.

If you do... build it as big as you possibly (and legally) can. That pit is invaluable to me for Spring and fall cleanup, as well as having some absolutely kickass bonfires. I can put a full 6' X 8' pallet in the bottom without touching a rock, and have had fires 60' high.

Granted big fires are season and situation dependant, and should be done cautiously. I also have a small 'nipple' off the big pit (2-1/2' dia) for more intimate fires for the Mrs and me, or for cooking on. drag some coals over from the big one and it's easy to adjust the heat level.

Right now i have a big open area i pull brush and stuff to pile up and burn. We just get off to the side of it to have a bonfire. It't out in the field so it doesn't get in the way of anything.
The wife is already excited about the prospects of a small are for maybe 4-6 folks. Ssome where to cook a litle at and just unwind.

that how I have it, I have a burn pile not a pit, I know smokey the bear is gonna get me, but I don't want a large hole in my back yard, plus since I have been here in the last 6 years the burn pile moves around the back yard depending on the brush piles or cut tree limbs, the grass always grown back better, next year I think I may try it at the base of an old oak tree

I just realized that the pic I had was old. This is what the view looks now. It is a tiny garden but I don't think I could do much more without the neighbors complaining to the association. I have a few pumpkin seeds growing on the side of the house that you can't see and the pots have grapes. Yeah, that one cherry tree isn't going to make it.
