If puplic sanitation (city sewer systems) is nonexistant during SHTF..what are you going to do with the waste?

I have porta potties that will need to be emptied....dumping it down the sewer might work for while but if the pumps on the way to the master station aren't working sooner or later everything will back up.

I'm considering digging an outhouse..or at least a big pit to dump the doo into...

for those of you with out houses, or planning on making them. set up an eavestrough on it, and run the pipe down and into the pit. The bad thing with outhouses is that the liquid drains off, and you're left with a mountain of solids. By forcing this water in, you will assist in the breaking down and disolving of said solids, and your outhouse will last for YEARS!

This won't make everyones list, and probably wouldn't make mine if I didn't work in downtown Greensboro. This Silcock Key lives in my GHB, and will allow me to open many commercial and municpal water spigots throughout the city.
