I'm having the Primo Supremo Burrito deal from Los Primos. 3" diameter 8" long beef and pico de gallo burrito with rice and refritos. A little slice of heaven and definitely NOT Taco Bell.

We have it at least every Friday, usually more often than that. Had boiled shrimp (my favorite) a few days ago.

I have finally mastered making fries. Mixed fries with cream chicken and added ketchup. Nothing like homemade grub to fill you up.

If this is a common thing Izzy, you need to increase your Cache of food. I keep enough things in my desk at work for 10 lunches+ in case I don't have leftovers. I also have a few things in my truck, in case a trip goes an extra day or two. And that doesn't account for my BOB.

Oh, and Lunch today will be, surprise surprise, Leftovers! lol

Butter chicken, Jasmin Rice with Spinach

Grumpy Old Man
06-20-2012, 04:30 PM
I keep 2 lbs of jerky, 3 packs of smoked salmon, several of the teriyaki noodles bowls, a few of the Nissin noodle cups, a couple of packs of dried cherries and some hard candy in my credenza here at work in case of emergencies. I also have some stripped MREs and ramen and bullion in the truck BOB. Do you guys get the idea that Grumpy is less grumpy when he's got a full belly?

BTW, today I'm having three avocados and a noodle bowl for lonche.

helomech

Today we have meat and gravy over rice, with corn, bread, spinach, beans, and desert.

Yeah, I'm just not a fan of eating what's in my BOB. With the financial woes we've been going through, we've already diminished a significant portion (read: almost all) of out stored preps. I'd hate to decimate my first line survival food supply when there's no clear time frame of when I'll be able to re-stock it.

Leftover Sniper-Burger

2/3 # of course ground sirloin, formed around a thick slice of Jalepino Jack cheese (yes, a cheese stuffed patty)
BBQ'ed, and topped with bullseye thick, and an extra thick slab of old cheddar

On a large Kaiser bun, with mustard relish and ketchup, lettuce, onions and tomatoes. Thick sliced double smoked bacon (tx for the idea Grumpy), mushrooms and serrano peppers.

Dinner last night also had fresh corn on the cob too, but there was none left over. All in All, the entire meal was cooked on the BBQ.

Ok I am testing out the SHTF menu today...
Skipped breakfast.
Got home and prepped left over ramen noodles with left over spaghetti noodles. Mixed in small amount of spaghetti sauce, and chopped up a hot dog and ate it cold.

My assessment:

I can do this.

Mr. and Mrs. Onestep took me out for lunch today. Nice little restaurant overlooking a local marina. Had planned on ordering fish but chicken was calling my name so it was a Grilled Caesar Chicken Wrap. Good food, nice view, better friends...priceless!

If you have a look around back of the concessions, you'll probably see the surplus grease containers! All just waiting for you to scoop out as much as you want. I grab a couple/few 5 gallon pails every spring from a local chinese resteraunt, and the same from a donut shop. All free for the taking.
