I am 80 miles south of Galveston Tx and the storm Debby looks like it is headed this way. We are going to stay at least one more night, hopefully more before we evacuate. I hate storms.

Will do thanks. If weather gets to bad we may loose internet. This platform has been through every storm that has hit this area since 1974, so it shoud be fine. They will probably get me off here before it gets here anyway. Last time one came close the helicopter broke just as we where getting ready to go in. I had to stay back and fix it, everyone else got on the boat and went in except essential guys.

Thanks, I have a feeling my company is going to make me go in tomorrow. They don't want to leave me out here, and they really don't want the helicopter riding out the storm out here.

My buddy says they're seeing lots of crews coming in from the rigs down south of NOLA.

You and that bird get back safe. I've ridden out a typhoon and two hurricanes on board Navy ships, It is no fun.

No word yet, but I have a feeling they will get me in today. It isn't big enough to worry me though.

Will do thanks. I left south Louisiana to get away from having to worry about the hurricanes. Man I hated having to pack up for every one. I am far enough from the coast now I don't have to worry. Dunk training is no fun.

Looks like they changed the area the storm is headed. Looks like right now they expect it to go to the tip of Louisiana.

Yeah, the wind shear is gone so it will get stronger now.

Waters warm, just enough off shore, ne quad raking the coast could be a good one.

This one has them very confused.

Been keeping an eye on Tropical Storm Debbie myself for obvious reasons.

As you say Helo, this one seems to have kept them guessing. Looks like Panama City is going to get this one when she comes ashore but I'll believe it when it happens.

Sadly, I'm supposed to fly out first thing in the morning for a business trip. I don't want to leave Mrs Stig to deal with the mess but given that it's a tropical storm for now, and it *seems* to be headed to the east of us, I think everything will be fine.

Hoping it doesn't get too bad for anyone in it's area. Keep us updated please. As always we'll all here if you need us.

Good call....I believe much of middle to western Florida is getting some heavy wind and rain today.

East coast ants in Florida are fine. Couple inches of rain and some wind, but not bad. Tornado warnings all evening for Palm Beach County, but no touchdowns as of yet. Hope the west coast fares well. Left my bol at 0700 this am to come see what was going on. Hope you panhandle ants come out good.

Should not be to bad, tornadoes and water are going to be the biggest issues.

Checking in from Oviedo area (Seminole Co.)
4-5" of rain, some wind and a little flooding, not much else.
Talked to a buddy in Panama City yesterday and he was getting winds to 35 mph and seas to match it (he's on the bay up there).
They closed the Tampa Skyway bridge yesterday evening due to 70 mph winds.
I had a feeling this thing wasn't going to go west and just hang around and eventually go NE.
