What is yours?

BTW....a great trick while camping.....loop paracord around a couple trees about 15 to 20 foot apart....take a stick and place it in the center of the lines....and twist up the paracord....allow the stick to become the center leg when twisted enough....

Hang clothes on this line by just using a small pointed stick to pry the twist apart and insert corners of things to be dried....no need for clothes pins....:)

I am planning pretty much the same thing. 2 buckets one for wash one for rinse. Then a clothes line for drying. You could also make 2-3 T post for the lines. Makes 15-25' into 60-100' whick may be more than you need but for sheets or bedding it would be noice to have the space. In particular if you have a big group.

That looks like a 55 gal. Drum with a mop bucket ringer on it. Bet you could make it.

i have the plunger above but mine is metal, 4 wash tubs with drains and a hand cranked roller to squeeze the water out. I also have two maytag wringer washers as long as we have gasoline to run them, My better half tells me we better have a lot of gas stored.

A couple of tubs, plunger and clothes line with plenty of clothespins. I do like my washer I plan on putting in a solar array to keep the electricity going as long as possible. However the above is plan B.

I have a plunger as above and an old wringer/folding table combo as well as 2 washtubs I got at Home Depot (gag). But as my old wringer needs some work I looked up wringers and came up with some options that aren't Lehmans ($179). Here are the links:

...the same time i plan on taking a shower... its gotta rain sometime:)

On a serious note, my rain barrels would be swiss army knife for obtaining water + a couple 5 gallon pales and some detergent.

^^^ freakin' AWESOME! Solar powered drier, that is hilarious! I don't mind hanging clothes out to dry, but ideally I would prefer to have them under some sort of canopy, because birds actually wait to go poop until you hang out clean laundry! My mom did laundry with a wringer washer when I was a kid (I am not a huge fan of them), and I have hung at least thousands of loads of laundry out on lines. I promise you, those damn birds just wait to crap all over the lines, lol. Of course, if you are stringing lines between trees, and birds are in those trees, that's also a recipe for bird-crap laundry.

I would post a link, but I think I'm still too new to use links just yet.

I have a WONDERWASH. Looks kinda like a mini cement mixer. $50. It's small and you can not do a lot of clothes at one time. Considering I'm only washing for myself, it's perfect. I've tried it out several times and works as good as can be expected. Of course it's manually intensive, but for only about 5 minutes. I used homemade laundry detergent and that is the key it seems. I use clothes lines anyway, as I have no dryer and don't have one on purpose. I have been hanging clothes out to dry for as long as I can remember. Had the typical 4 line T-post setup for years. After the big "D" I moved into a small house and had a very basic line, but it worked fine. In my new place here, I purchased one of the foldup models from one of the big box stores. It's perfect.

Oh, never had a bird poop problem...:D

We use a clotheline from the time it first warms up enough, to after freezeup. I love fresh air clothes!!

Considering I live in the bush, I have negotiated a truce with all the birds. They don't poop on my laundry, and I don't use them for skeet practice!

We just acquired a real, made in USA washboard.
We already had a couple suitable tubs.
Need to replace the lines, poles are GTG for the forseeable future. I made them, 1/4" wall, 2" square tube, turned on corner for extra rigidity. They are 6' tall, sunk 3' in the ground in concrete, and are 4' wide, spaced 25' apart, and take 4 lines.
A friend who helped put them in calls them "tank traps", and says if there's ever a hurricane or tornado threat, just tie the house to them, it'll be fine.
