Came home today to find this in my chicken run, I guess my turkey called up a wild turkey and he got in my chicken run. This is the first wild turkey I have ever seen on my place.

I would name him Izzy Scout!! Only a scout could invade a chicken coop and not be noticed as an outsider. This turkey has Izzy written all over it. :D

This is the difference between me an Helo.... Fearing heavy blood loss from TTS (Turkey Talon Scratches) and possibly the loss of an eye or two, I would have gladly snapped a photo of the wild bird while it rummaged around safely imprisoned inside of my chicken run (If I had one)
Helo, however scoops the bird up with his bare arms, like it's nothing more than a house pet and poses for a formal Photo Op.
You're a braver man than me Helo!!!

Will Izzy be disappointed if he finds out it is a hen? Lucky you - that won't happen too often.

Been catching critters my whole life. A turkey isn't as scary as a wild hog.
Just jump in and worry about everything later.

It was a hen, it had feathers missing from it's belly from hatching eggs.
