I wandered in here thanks to bacpacker's post on a story thread at another site. I'm already digging the no BS rule here.
I grew up fishing, hunting, or camping just about every weekend. I kind of stopped doing it during college and for the past few years due to getting my career going. But now that I'm finally settled in a house of my own those things are coming back to the fore front. I'm no Grizzly Adams but I get keep myself alive long enough (hopefully).
Prepping has always been a part of me. I've always tried to think out the likely problems as well as a few unlikely. However, I know, everyone has a plan till you get punched in the face.
Never went to the military, bad eyes and ear saw to that. But I do have a profound respect for those you do put their ass on the line.
