Yup, it's dead. But it was worth a shot. The misses and I looked a silos a couple of years ago. Problem was none of them had any acreage except the titan site outside of Denver. Some sites have been sold over the years and some prices have dropped as well. Soooooooooooo, we've decided to build our "off-grid" homestead in the wilderness.
Check out this site.

As kids we used to play laser tag in the titan silos in Aurora. There are about 6 silo's in the far east side of aurora. And you are correct they are on large lots in the middle of nowhere. If I remember correct they were closed down in 1967. The issues with the sights I would assume would be the material they used to build them asbestos etc...

The next issue would be pumping the water out of the silos. They need to leave em exposed to the air due to gasses and so forth... and the rain collects in them

Guys...could you do me the favor of making your thread titles a little more descriptive please? This helps people searching google for various topics to find us.

Something like "I'll just leave this here: zombie stronghold for sale" is far more likely to be found by a search engine than "I'll just leave this here".

It also helps people who are scanning topics, have limited time and use the titles to decide which topics to read.

Thanks much

ETA: I'd like to buy a pre-built fortress compound. That is all.

No worries. Thanks man!

Also.....I'd like a compound to live in. Just in case I wasn't clear about that. ;)

I vote we all go in together and buy #5 that way we'll be able to be to bring our supplies and get set. It looks like it has enough room for all of us.

It's a long walk from Texas to Alaska for us, and I am not allowed in Canada, there was an incident with a case of Molson, and a moose, and some duct tape. it's a long story ehhh. J/k but it is a long walk. Of course the up side is, I would take so long to walk there, you guys would have everything squared away when I arrived, and it would be smooth sailing for me, so maybe I'm in after all.
