(CNSNews.com) - Since Jan. 1 of this year, according to congressional testimony presented Thursday by the Government Accountability Office, the Federal Aviation Administration has authorized 106 federal, state and local government “entities” to fly “unmanned aircraft systems,” also known as drones, within U.S. airspace.

“We are now on the edge of a new horizon: using unmanned aerial systems within the homeland,” House Homeland Security Oversight Subcommittee Chairman Michael McCaul (R.-Texas) said as he introduced the testimony.

“Currently,” said McCaul, “there are about 200 active Certificates of Authorization issued by the Federal Aviation Administration to over 100 different entities, such as law enforcement departments and academic institutions, to fly drones domestically.”

So who's watching you? Kind of scary. It is bad enough that we have Stop light cameras, ATM cameras, surveilence cameras in most major cities, now there are additional eyes in the sky. What's next?

Yeah that'll be FUBARed all to hell.

As much as we discuss all the libtards and their failed policies, has anyone taken into account how many of the bills, departments, and shit that strips our liberties are being put forth and pushed by the so called conservatives. Just more examples of the two party system are just different sides of the same coin. They both vote for this crap when it comes down to it.

Folks...very political discussion so far. Please keep this oriented towards how it will effect your prepping, if at all.

(ETA: I think it fucking sucks no matter what side of the isle it comes from. Fuck 'em all for this crap).
