The U.S. has about 2.3 million soldiers capable of mobilization into combat, 310,000 which are actively overseas.

China/the Chinese territories has about 4.2 million

Iran has between the soldiers and guerrilla fighters, about 11.7 million soldiers/fighters. (that's more than Russia and China combined!)


I'm thinkin'.... we're clearly out numbered!

If all the B.S. with Iran goes to shit, and we're at war.. does anyone think we will have a draft? :confused:

Every conflict that I have been involved in, we were out-numbered, but never under-powered. That pretty much made up for the number difference.

If we are fighting the Iranians, it will not come to a draft. Most of the truly democratic world powers have about had it with the Iranians. We won't be the ones starting the shooting if it comes to it. Either the Iranians will fire the first shot, or the Israelis will strike preemptively. As much as the Russians and Chinese support the current regime, they will not actively get involved.
