Vacation Time!

Only one more sleep and I'm out for a week of fishing, biking, rollerblading, and general carousing!

Its the first family vacation we'll be going on since '95. I'm getting kinda stoked now.

I'll probably be able to check in from time to time, but if not, I'll see ya'll next week!

Make sure ya bring your pads/knees/elbows, and your 1st aid kit. Sounds like you're over due brother. Ya'll be safe, enjoy it while you can.

Pads are a good idea. I'll add them to my list of last minute purchases... Falling without them sucks. I scraped my knee open 6 weeks before basic, and it was an open sore for 5 of those. It promptly reopened during some "remedial" PT and took another two weeks to heal up properly. I don't need that again!

Echo, I tried finding the thread before we hit the road, but ran out of time. I think its "my next mock BO" that has a list of the contents for a countycomm EOD bag I use. I put that, a med kit, my pistol/ spare mags/ holsters, and a saber radio in my laptop bag (backpack style) with a few snacks.

I don't plan on carrying this week, and the laptop bag locks, so it seemed a good choice.

in other news, it should be a safer week. No room for any bikes, and nobody else had rollerblades, so I left those behind too. That works out because even cheap pads cost as much as a case of Bud Light.
