Interview went well today. I was 1 of 10 out of over 320 applicants to be interviewed! And that was before anyone put all the pieces together of who I was and who-knew-who and subsequent phone calls on my behalf. So, even with the outside help, I still got my foot in the door on my own. At any rate, he's trying to whittle it down to five and has already eliminated three and I don't know how many he had to interview after myself. He'll be doing call backs in the next day or two for second interviews and hopes to have his decision made at that time. I think I'm still in the running and am hoping my phone will ring!

I GOT THE JOB!!!!

He called a couple hours ago and offered it. After some discussion I accepted. I start Wednesday morning. WOOT!!

Thank you all for the support! It's been a crazy week and you kept my spirits up!

Even though I had some inside help on this one I actually got the job from a source I never suspected. An old co-worker and friend of mine, TC, who is like a second father to me is someone I used as a reference. Turns out the company owner also knows TC and loves and respects him as much as I do. When he called TC and TC gave me such a favorable recommendation he couldn't resist and knew I was the one for the job.

Cocktails are on me tonight!! :D

2 oz vodka
1 oz dry vermouth
1 oz lime juice
1 celery stalk
1 spear cucumber

Stir liquids with ice then strain into a horn vessel. Garnish with celery and cucumber. Serve immediately to the Sniper.
