I ran across this site a little while ago and while it's in Canada, I found it interesting and will be looking into this further.

Seed saving is on my list to start doing. What goes along with seed saving is protecting your blossoms while it's setting fruit from cross pollination so you can maintain a "true" seed bank.

You only need to protect the blossom of the fruit that you are going to save... not the whole plant so tag the fruit that you protected.
