Well today he is in the pressure cooker, he has been around for well over a year now and is the last of my original roosters I bought. Here are his spurs.

He will be good with rice or dumplings.

He is going into canning jars with another younger rooster, and 2 hens. Going to kill at least 4 more hens tomorrow.

Wow! Those are some nasty spurs!

Can the be trimmed? Or ground off?

Maybe hafted, and used on a spear?

That'll teach him! He wont spur YOUR wife again!

Not sure if any thing can be done without a lot of effort. It is just easier to kill them if they get aggressive. This breed is not supposed to be aggressive, so hopefully when the other roosters get older they won't be. If they do we will just kill them and keep a young rooster around.

That seems easy enough.

A rooster with spurs is like a punk kid with a knife. take away the spurs and take away the attitude and bluster

I agree it is not worth the problem, sooooooooo OFF with the head. Chicken and rice or maybe some good jambalaya. I'm hungry now so I'm off to the kitchen......
