Yep, it is snowing. expecting up to 8" today and a few more tomorrow!

I might be able to get my sled out for a rip on the weekend.

It will probably be gone by next week, which is good, because I don't even have all my leaves raked yet!

Just a nasty cold front moving through. We'll get a few more weeks of nice weather yet. Hopefully this helps get the animals moving!

I saw a forecast last night showing snow in the rockies, dakotas, and minnesota. I wondered if you would get any of it.. Send some down here, we've not had a good one in way to long.

<sigh> I'm 4-6 weeks away from that stuff myself. Could have done without seeing it until then! At least it won't be that much...

Sorry, I'll be up in Michigan around the weekend of the 15th... I expect to see snow...

Be advised, every time i've been up there since 2001, in the winter, it has not snowed... So you may be in luck...

Snow??? It was 105 on Tuesday, 95 yesterday and 80 today. I don't like being cold you can have it. Rain is not too bad, then I can turn off the automatic sprinklers. The best thing about snow it that it gets the animals moving if you are a hunter, makes it easier to track too.

One of these years I am going to get to hunt with snow on the ground.

Well, there is a good heavy wet 9 inches of the whitestuff on the ground at home. trees and shrubs are laid down flat all over the place!

And no end in site yet!

WOW....Motivation to stack those last couple loads of wood.....

might have to wait until after freezeup. I couldn't get any pics, but my woodpile is a mile back into the bush, which has been completely dry for the last 2 months, and is now a muddy, sloppy soupy mess. I just cleared out the first (small) pile yesterday, And I was dragging my axles. be easier after it dries up some more.
btw, this is next years wood supply. This years is already laid in.

I got about 3 chords that I need to stack.....

Guess this weekend I'll have to take the cord to the PlayStation and hold it ransom....:)

WOW....Motivation to stack those last couple loads of wood.....

That is exactly what I thought. I need to get myself in gear, especially since I found a cheaper supplier.

Not ready for the snow yet, I have a lot to do before I am ready to hunker down inside where it is warm. The snow is going to have to be late this year for me like last year. I had to go about 50 miles away from home to make a small snow man. And not enough to make a snow angel. I just wish this year would be like last year.

Cool! We use a wheelbarrow when the ground allows it (stayed too soft last winter). That looks like it'd hold a comparable amount and be more stable going up a ramp to the door

Sniper-T

I use the snow mobile to haul it from the wood pile to the back deck, or a plastic sleigh, if I don't feel like firing up the sled. I'll post some pics when I start hauling.

I'm still hoping this will melt yet.

Although we did get another 3" last night. Although it rained most of the weekend, and the previous stuff was mostly gone

One of the casualties of too much heavy wet snow:

http://i605.photobucket.com/albums/tt140/Sniper-T/1005121527a.jpg

The snow basically flattened it to the ground, and snapped off 6" 'branches' like they were toothpicks. I also have 4 cedars that are bent over in half. when we get an above zero day, I'll try tying them up straight again, or they'll need some serious pruning

you can see one of the cedars in the background here:
