This has probably been covered, so forgive me if it has.
I travel a lot in my work, and the hotels I stay at always provide mini soap bars, shampoo bottles, moisturizer, mouthwash, etc. One bar of soap and one bottle of shampoo will usually last three days, so when they replace everything each day I take the extras home. When TSHTF I will have plenty of these items for myself, and to use as barter items.
Remember how important soap will be. In the past, more people died from infections and uncleanliness than from many other things. Even if you don't have antibiotics, you can still thoroughly cleanse wounds with soap and water to help prevent infection.
