Never thought of this before but I like it. Also made me think of a lipstick tube too. You hide your money in it when it is empty.

At least you can afford the Chapstick.

The chap stick container can also work to put your meds in that you need to take every day. Or painkillers and antibiotics and put in your BOB,car, backpacks, 4 wheelers ect. They will stay dry and take up less space.

That chap stick container would work for a few wax tipped matches too, or some fishing line and a hook.

I *love* that outdoor bathtub/shower, I have warned the hubby that I want an old claw-leg cast iron bathtub outside, so I can soak under the stars. Ya know, cause his "to-do" list is getting short ;). Poor man, lol.

here is a link on how to build your own Digital antenna. I don't know much on electrical and was just wondering if it really would work and how good.

I bought one of those $1.49 tylenol-in-tube containers in the checkout at WalMart.
Starting at the bottom it has:
4 Tylenol quick-release capsules arranged side by side
1 extra strength Tumms tablet to make the next level flat
4 Aleave caplets, 1 Claratin, 1 85mg Aspirin, 2 Pepsid AC
2 more Tumms on top to keep everything from wiggling around
Place the top on the tube and everything is snug but nothing gets crushed.
Part of mine and Wifey's EDC.
She once said Batman could take notes from me.

These also work great for storing your cotton balls infused with Vaseline in your fire kit. Just twist and you got a new ball.

Hhhmmm, you people are terribly clever! I like it!

You can also store safety pins in there. I used to have a dental floss container that I gutted of the floss and it's little hoop, but kept the top part with the metal thingy, so it would stay closed. You can fit all sorts of interesting things in one of those!

Multiple posts in the same thread within a certain period if time will be treated by the software as though you are updating your last post. I ran into the same thing when I was posting pictures if the straight razor shave and had to wait a minute or two between posts or I would exceed the picture limit in a single post for the same reason.

Ok so I just found this neat site that has all kinds of tricks that help you out with a lot of different things. Like how to stop your wooden floors from squeaking, unsticking envelopes when they seal themselves, (I have a box like that), how to put eye drops in a child's eyes easy. Use a tackle box for your first aid box. Here ya go,

Good idea with the tackle box. Would keep it organized. I have one in my basement that I got when my grandpa passed. He made it from a small metal tool box. It hols a good amount of supplies, but it has no organization to it.

And there you have it..A Canned food storage for tight spaces

Taz Baby
03-11-2013, 09:23 PM
This is what she told me about it.

I have been wanting something like this for a long time. The shelves I had just weren't holding enough and I had so much wasted space. Trying to keep things rotated and organized was driving me crazy. So... Hubby and I started brain storming and going over different ideas and things to use. I had drawn up the kind you see made out of plastic and we discussed making one out of wood, too pricey. As you can see in the back ground, we have tons of scrap this and that laying around. He grabbed a piece of PVC, went in and got a can of food, tried it, it fit! Then he took it to the miter saw and started cutting those little circles, laying them out and seen we needed 4 10' PVC pipes to make it 5' tall.

They are so blessed with having a team like that, one who thinks it up and the other who knows how to make it work and build it. Every team group needs that.

Sniper-T
03-11-2013, 10:37 PM
Generally, I like it! it is a great way to force rotation. But I can only see this for lesser used items, as it doesn't hold enough to be applicable to the main staples, unless multiple tubes were filled with the same thing.

The other thing I REALLY like about it, is the accessibility to multiple things in a small space. Perhaps a modification to it, would be a pair of lazy suzans connected on a track, several feet apart, with a chain or belt drive system?

.OOOOOOOOO.
O..................O
.OOOOOOOOO.

need to think more on how to make that work cheaply...

AND....

and... great on your friend, and her hubby for coming up with that! TRES KEWL!!!!

I hope they join, They will be valuable members here!

... And I'd love to see more pics/details about the greenhouse!

Thanks for sharing Taz... and thanks to your friend for letting you!

Sniper, it holds 96 cans, and we are planning on building two more this size so we have enough room for all products we eat. Also going to make one with 4" pipe for pie filling size cans. We are currently working on a wooden one made totally from scrap wood we had laying around hope to finish it this week end. It is too complicated to explain, but I will post finished pictures.

Also, we learned some things about this one, so our next one will be even better. (We are famous for our prototypes) ;) Some of you know us, HD was Tinkerman on another site.

Thanks TazBaby, this had to take you FOREVER to post.

Sorry Sniper, I shouldn't post while watching Jeff Foxworthy... My redneck brain tends to shut down.

The reason we made it to fit in a 14" foot print is because of the space we have. Plus, trying not to waste space in the middle of it. But we welcome improvement ideas. I like your idea about the belt drive just have to figure out how to do it. (cheap/free) :)

As for the green house, I will have to see if I have any pictures on my facebook acct. As Taz said, I lost everything when my computer crass. Yeah, I know I should have had them all saved on a disk.
