It is an absolute wonder to me that Greece hasn't completely folded financially. Take a look at this article

I watch and read the news daily waiting for the shoe to drop. I'm surprised too that it hasn't HTF for them. Figured it would happen months ago.

Willie I totally agree, to me its completely a matter of when not if. Not just for them either, I believe that Ireland, Spain and Portugal will be going down as well. That will be a huge house of cards falling and it won't be pretty and it won't stay on that side of the pond, the financial markets are too inter dependent.

Once it gets going It'll get bad and quick probably within a day or three is my guess.

I feel the same way, once it happens it will be too much too quick for any emergency solution to kick in. Markets will tumble all over the world and even with the automatic safeguards in place to suspend trading the losses and the fear will cause panic in the financial world and then all bets are off. Countries will seal borders to try and isolate themselves but it won't be nearly enough. The ripple effect will be tremendous and it will be bad.

Here is an interesting take on the situation involving both Spain and Greece from a Nobel Prize winning economist. I believe he is telling it like it is

The financial issues of Greece are well known to us but how deep that trouble is may not be. I found this to be a very informative article, its seems the debt problem may be much closer than we thought. Please take a look at the article here
