How many hour do you work in week?

Me personally....about 50 to 60 hrs a week now...which has been going on for years.

I've been known to pull a few 84hr weeks....but those suck.

What's your average?

Paid, 40 to 64 a week depending on season. then 2 hours a day in commuting and 4 to 8 hours a week on the heavy unpaid (BOL & house) labor.

40ish actual work, and about 4 hours a day commuting to appointments. I also have a seasonal job bidding Christmas lights, so that is a few hours a day + driving, then an hour or 4 at night making holsters.

Define "work". ;) I'm self employed & provide computer consultation & network support to about 30 local businesses as well as residential break/fix on a call basis. That keeps me running, on the average, 40-50 hrs a week. There are some weeks where that will rise exponentially & can turn into 60+ for short periods. I also help the SO with residential cleanings once or twice a month but that's only a few hours a pop. I also run a Jeep club with 120+ members & that consumes 5-10 hrs a week.

Between all that, maintaining a 1700 sqft house, three vehicles, a dog and LIFE... I'ma busy guy.

Paid for 40. Generally work 50+. Plus 6-10 hour drive time.

Lots better than the old job. I rarely hit less than 60 there and at times 80. Then they shut down and went to mexico.

Then they shut down and went to mexico.

They way things are looking around here that sounds like a prudent idea.

Usually 45-50hrs a week, sometimes more, plus about 2hrs a day commuting.
Not paid by the hour, so a fair bit of that is unpaid.

Haven't worked a 40 hours week since the 60s. Always 55 to 84 per week until a couple of years ago. Been self employed many years.

Currently working 4-12s 1day-off. Work week varies 60 or 72 hours.
Federal regs wont let me work longer.

35 hour work week, averaging 40 hours OT per week for the past 5 months. 2 hrs commute each day, and the rest of the daylight hours are spent working in the yard.
I try not to take work home for the weekends, but that doesn't always work out.

I have not counted it in hours for a long time. Right now, I work 6 and a half days a week. I usually switch my computer on at 8am and shut it down anywhere from midnight to 3am. I'll let you figure the total.

What is this "work" you guys keep mentioning?

I pretend to work, they pretend to pay me.

Now I average a little more than 40. The summer between high school and college I had one job that was from 06:00-19:00 7 days a week and a second job that was 21:00-00:00 Sunday through Thursday for a total of 99 hours per week. I still managed to spend all of the money I made on those two nights per week that I had off. :)

Salaried GM, which means I'm a bargain before 8 a.m., after 5 p.m. and all weekend long.

I guess i'm a lucky person at only 32 hours a week part time and three days off in a row during the summer months but it can change with 50 hours week during the winter time when the machine stops working and we are called in to help .

I travel for a big box chain and do diff things that they need from cleaning toliets to unloading a truck to making sure the milk is fresh that day .So my day can start at 10.pm and end at 12.noon some days

I retired about three years ago. Now I just work part-time at a couple of jobs. One I work 35 to 40 hours per week, the other is averaging about 15 to 20 hours. Life is good
