I now own two! :D And,

The top knife is his MAK 10.5, and the lower blade is the EDC I've mentioned at time or two already that's served me very well for 2 years now. I got the MAK to replace the Frost Cutlery Kabar knockoff I was actually relieved to have destroyed...

while car camping last year. I wanted his Watchman model, which has two finger grooves vs. the single one on the MAK, but, he didn't have any on hand so I opted for this. I got to see his shop, got invited back for a jaw session and beer, and got one hell of a durable knife, so it was a good day. I also saw examples of multiple knives he's made, variations upon the same, and custom changes he's made upon request for servicemen overseas. He ships overseas and to APO's. He's local, one helluva good guy, and just makes damn good blades. So of course I'm gonna talk him up and try to help him out. No, I won't get anything out of this. I wish though! He's got stuff that just made me drool!

From his website's homepage:

Thank you for visiting Michael Morris' webpage. Michael made his first knife from a file in Southern California while working as a Machinist in 1984. Since that first blade, his hobby has become his passion, making knives that serve Military and Sportsmen alike on 4 continents in every extreme condition imagineable. Michaels knives are made from American made files which are typically W1 or W2 high carbon steel, remarkably tough, extremely sharp, incredibly durable. Each one handmade by Michael with it's own unique character. Many people have never seen knives made like this. Michael also handstiches his own sheaths, and/or forms the Kydex himself. Our goal is to bring you a knife that you can be proud of, a knife you can put hard to work, and most importantly, a knife that won't break your budget.

And this from Youtube, his knifemaking process, if anyone's interested.:

I also saw there are videos on youtube of his UK legal knives. I can't remember his source, but he claimed to be the best selling American (custom) knifemaker over there. His friction folder's are especially popular there. I want one myself!

I may end up in the poor house after a bit of time knowing him, but that's ok. I'll have tools that I'm sure will be passable from generation to generation in my family. They're just that solid.
