Woke up to no power this morning

well, i am back online.

woke up to no power this morning and had a weird thought. did i wake up to the end? :D i know, kinda odd. so i went and looked to see if it was isolated to us or if it went wider. i went to find a store to get a soda and there was one with power, just across the river bridge. so back on the prowl i went. the roads were empty for 5:40am. i drove 9 mi. north and all the houses were dark and then i ran across a Deputy and he said it was wide spread and the Power Co. didn't know where it was.

still don't know, but the power came back on at 8:54am. i guess most didn't get up for the morning commute and late for work.

it is kinda strange to wake up, knowing there should be people out and about and not seeing a soul.

Eeeeeeewwww, this starting to sound good. The winter is just starting to set in as well. What better time then the present for a full blown shut down, eh? Now you got me thinking............what would I be doing? THE FREEZER! #1 PRIORITY everytihing else right now I can deal with. except the wife who will go into full blown panic mode. Then the mother-in-law, we'll have to scoop her up, who will be reluctant of course..............she's in town a few miles away but with no security "more cats" Then to devise another plan as to rounding up the neighbors, thems good country folk. We'll work it from there............

Then I'd start collecting and hauling even more wood!
