The story is new but it sounds as if Chris Kyle am ex navy seal and the deadliest sniper in US history has been murdered. He was shot while working with veterans suffering from PTSD. Apparently one vet turned on him and killed Chris and another. Ill post more when I get it.

We as a species are diminished.

This sucks. From everything I have heard of this guy he was a great person, and a hero. I hope the killer gets his head stomped in.

Came on to post this myself. Happened here locally. I've actually been in his home once doing an estimate for some work. Great guy, with a sweet wife and kids. What a terrible loss.

Dear Mr. Kyle,
I never knew you, but I wish I could have shook your hand, and said thank you, and welcome home.

I wish I could have known him. He was and is still a hero to me. A man among men, dedicated to serving his country and fellow man. He will be missed and we are all diminished by the loss of this hero.

I had the pleasure once. We will always be bound by the craft. Another brother lost.
I raise my glass.

Yes, it's south east of here, the talk among the LEOs here is that was an Aryan Brotherhood hit.

I read point blank while he was helping another soldier. If it was Aryan Brotherhood I hope they all go down, and hard. I hope my dreams tonight, if I sleep, is bearded men killing them and breaking their shit.

I consider myself a emotionally strong person. This has me very upset, this man was a personal hero. I'm signing off for a while.

I was answering the question about the DA that was shot here in DFW the other day.

Truly, we are diminished. I have been at a loss for words since I first read this...

And yet, I have found hope and some comfort. For those of you of Christian faith, may I suggest Psalm 37? Verses 1,2 and23, 24 in particular.

AK thanks for clarifying that, I do feel a little better now after that. Still a shorty situation, I'll pay a little more attention next time ;)

My son called me late last night and woke me and told me. I did not sleep much and he is heartbroken. He follows the Seals closely and has done some film work and stories on Navy Seal Aaron Vaughn (another fallen hero) for Billy and Karen Vaughn. He wears Aaron's braclet daily. Chris Kyle was another true American hero and we will honor him and all the other heros who have served this great country...such a loss....so sad! We pray for his family left behind.

My bad for the question about the DA shooting to AK. I should have been much more clear that they were seperate incidents.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Kyle family and their many friends. This story is still just unbeliveable to me.

No thoughts can convey what I'm thinking or feeling today after reading about this. May we all remember him as the warrior of freedom he was and always will be.
May people ; prayers and thoughts help ease the family's burden. I shall raise a glass and a toast to him.

chris kyle and chad littlefield are heros, even after serving their country they continued to serve, reaching out to a troubled vet. death is not the end, it comes for us all, as christians we know death is the begining, it's how we live that is important.
