Hey everyone, time for a new game.

*There's been a bit of talk about being physically prepared in the event of an "oh crap" moment. So I propose we have a little fitness fun.
The way this is going to be set up is there's going to be 3 different categories of exercising. *Cardio, which will be indicated with a "c", repetitive, marked by an "r", and sustained, obviously marked by an "s".

In order to keep score this is how it's going to go-
For repetitions, every 100 of anything (sit-ups, pustule, etc) will grant you 1 point. *These "reps" can involve combinations of different exercises as well(I.e. 50 pushups, 50 crunches). But every 100 reps will give you 1 point in the "r" category.

Next is the Cardio system. *For ever mile you walk equals 1 point. *For every 10 minutes of running, biking, swimming etc, equals 1 point. *Again this category will be labeled "c".

And for sustained, Aka "s", 1 minute of any sustained exercise such as planks or leg lifts, etc will earn you 1 point in the "s" category.

This is a you vs yourself competition. *Anyone can join in at anytime. *This is based on the honor system. *If you do something that isn't covered such as lifting weights at the gym or football, guesstimate:). It's supposed to be fun.

Every day you post you will list the categories and points you've earned. *At the bottom of the entry you will keep a total tally. *This makes it easier than always going back and having to recount.

Yeah, I got sucked into something similar on a different forum and it's amazing how much of a guilt trip you give yourself when you miss a day lol.

R: 1 (did 185 total reps of various machines. Are their 1/2 points in this game?)

C: 2 (20 minutes of biking)

S: 0

Not sure how to keep track of the S part. I do a lot of reps on different machines, but am not on one machine for very long.

I blew it today. We at dinner at Chili's last night. Man, we all had heartburn and were bloated all night. I didn't sleep well at all.

So when the alarm went off at 5am the last thing I wanted to do was work out.

I guess I'm planted at 3.5 for now.

if your still confused about the "sustaining" part of the game, I guess the easiest way to put it is by holding your body in a position and sustaining it as long as you can. Like say if you did a hand stand as long as you can. Every minute = 1 point. Another example would be if you lay on your back and lift your legs 6 inches off the ground and hold it as long as you can.

Oh...that makes perfect sense. I was thinking one minute of constant activity which seemed like a duplicate of cardio.

Excellent.

Glad I was able to clear that up. I went back and re-read what I wrote and it does come off a little open ended so I apologize for that lol.

Don't know if anybody is interested in continuing this.

Was on the road for work last week and only squeezed in 30 minutes on the bike. This morning did the standard 200 reps on different machines and twenty minutes on the bike.

I've been thinking about another exercise game to play. But I want it to be something we can all participate on the same measurement. Like if we did a pedometer challenge or something. I know walmart usually carries them for 5 bucks and we could do a month of recording our daily steps. I think 2200 steps equaled 1 mile for my stride. But eitherway it's just an idea.

Totally forgot about this topic :P

I like Fatty's idea though... Come up with a specific thing to do instead of doing different things for everyone... That way there is a standard...
