The one I knew for years (here's the original post)

Well things have really turned out well.
Not only is he leading our Bible study class but the study group is now becoming more involved in prepping.
There are 6 families in the group.
We camped out last weekend, had a fire starting exercise for everyone and generally went over some items needed for your personal bags. Had some good conversation over the campfire as well.
Funny how things work out.

Sometimes leading by example is better than trying to shove a bible down peoples throat. Well done.

Very true Dropy.
He is a great teacher and emphasizes the importance of a personal relationship with God, as opposed to a corporate one.
Plus being a prepper, he has a knack of explaining how things in the Bible pertain to being ready.
It's a pretty deverse group we have too, with people from various backgrounds, professions and areas of the country.

Funny, of the two of us I'd find it more likely that you're in Far Far Away, and I'm in the Ogre Swamp ;)

Yeah... I've watched Shrek a time or two.

That's great! The more I prep the more realize the bigger the group the better off you will probably be. I guess I should have listened to my wife. When we moved inland from the east Fl. coast she suggested seminole county near her job at the time, but instead we went south to osceola, where we dont have a nice organized group( but we do have a great neighbor). Glad she's not on the forum to hear me say that she may have been right.
