Well, got the 1080p version today, so I decided to watch it. What a waste of my time!! I would have been pissed if I had paid to see it in theater.

I just bought it yesterday. Even if it sucks major donkey organ, chances are i will still like it. But them again, this is coming from the dork that saw GIJOE: Rise of Cobra at 12am opening day....and liked it.... Ill do the same for the new one :)

He's our resident crash test dummy, COTS(commercial off the shelf) Crusher when it comes to tools and the trade so I'll be anxious to see how he can "sell" this one. Standing by..............besides I'll swap him "Expendables" for it, he hasn't seen that one yet.

I guess my standards are uber low. I liked the second one. Not in the cool Patrick Swayze, Charlie Sheen sort of way, that movie is epic. But they made a modern movie with an old school twist. Low budget, sure, but it was entertaining. The only thing I didn't like was the way Jed went out.

I watched it yesterday. I dont get why everyone is trashing it.

I enjoyed it for what it was.

It was a decent movie for sitting back and enjoying some some popcorn and entertainment. I think you guys set your standards for movies too high.

I didn't think it was so bad.
Certainly not as good as the original.
I sort of thought of it as a rather loosely translated remake. They used some things from the original, but really, it was more of a stand alone flick.
At least that was my opinion.

But no, it won't replace the original.

I did like the one line from when they were all sitting in the cave, reminiscing about what they missed. One says he misses playing Call Of Duty, to which one of the others replies, " we are playing Call Of Duty, and it sucks."

well, as far as movies go. if they are shooting guns, blowing shit up and running the bad guys away. i am all for it. only thing that makes it better is the gratuitous boob shot.

that being said, remakes usually suck anyway.

I felt like it was a cross between "tomorrow when the war began" and the original Red Dawn. I saw it yesterday finally, and it was OK. I thought the Marine's talk about the TX Mexico border being "on fire because of guys like you" was interesting.
