Roanoke Valley area, meet will be in Roanoke County then caravan/convoy to camp site in Craig County, about 40 min away for cooking & sleeping & fellowship. Sun is wake up and head home at your schedule.

Alternative for late comers will be detailed directions disseminated in advance.

Some simple rules will be laid out in advance (carry of any personal weapons, dress code and code of conduct). This should be a safe and enjoyable meet for the FAMILY so things like profanity and drunkenness will be part of the code of conduct.

We shall gather in non-tactical garments, no long guns displayed, only lawful carry of side arm permitted (Lawful CCW preferred, though open carry in VA is perfectly legal).

This isnt a militia meeting, just a M&G of like minded folks with open discussion & fellowship for everyone's enjoyment.

A soldier's ethos will be in effect, we look out for each other while maintaining a high standard of moral & ethical behavior.

Discussion should be focused on personal interest, preparations for emergency situations (tornado, flood, etc...), personal self defense at home, situational awareness, etc. No discussion on topics that generate bad mojo please. Any "Non Bad Mojo" subjects are areas to be explored (Hunting, fishing, NASCAR, knitting, etc..)

I am prepared to give a brief demonstration of unarmed personal self defense, dutch oven cooking, land navigation using UTM co-ordinates, etc.. etc.. Participants are invited to offer demonstrations on there skill sets also.... so long as it is short enough for everyone to get a slice of the time pie in the short time frame we will have together.
