I just ran across this site a few minutes ago and found the products looked pretty appealing. I haven't had a chance to check it out yet, but the classes sound OK.

A solar oven is high on my list of things I want to get done this year, just behind getting going with smoking meat.

I'm slowly but surely still working on my Fresnel lens cooker.

Sense last speaking of it....I got a lens out of a 70" rear projection TV.

Have built the aluminum frames but not the stands.....might make them from wood.

If you buy one I would highly recommend the Global Sun Oven. It's a true oven and not just a cooker. We researched solar ovens for along time before we bought one and after we got it... we love it and give it a five star rating. I could never build one with the quality and the ease of design is remarkable. Again... 5 Star and 4 Thumbs up!!!

Thanks for the review E. They want $288 for that one. How does that compare to the one you got?

Two years ago we got ours for $225 and now your right... it's $280 but still worth it IMO. :)

Here is one with more stuff included... it has a Dehydrating & Preparedness Accessory Package that I haven't seen before now.

Best price I found was $259. But it had none of the accessories with it.

I'm glad you posted this. I had never heard, nor thought of these. I just recently replaced my old rear projection with a Plasma. Since I am still in an apartment, and the 56" TV is bigger than the stair well, I haven't tossed it yet. Looks like I have a good reason to take it down in pieces.

It will have a polarized and the Fresnel taped together....just slice them apart...toss the polarized.

When you carry it out in to the sun light....don't have it between you and the sun....:)
